Our family has used Kellenberger Excavating for projects involving lumbering, earthwork, and land clearing.  While we personally own some small excavating equipment, we faithfully use Kellenberger Excavating for the bigger projects.  For timber harvests, KX listened to our wishes for a sustainable hardwood forest.  Many other companies doing timbering seek to maximize the value of the harvest without consideration of the future forest.  He and his team of experts defined a plan for the selection of timber to be harvested, marked each tree, provided an itemized inventory by species, scheduled the harvest, and followed through on the back end to ensure that pre-existing trails were navigable and landing areas reseeded.  For earthwork, KX assisted with grading and cutting swales for stormwater management, spreading and packing millings for farm paths, creating piles for controlled burns, and building boulder walls for bank stabilization.  For land clearing, they converted a visually unappealing, rock-laden, densely thicketed, steep slope under a power line where invasive vegetation was managed by aerial herbicide treatment into a pasture for grazing goats with a path around the perimeter of the fence for ease of maintenance.  Another land clearing project involved the conversion of a former ornamental landscaping and evergreen nursery with stumps, holes and tree remnants into farmable fields for row crops.  In summary, Kellenberger Excavating provides quality work at a fair price with outstanding communication throughout the phases of the project.  It’s a pleasure to do business with the KX team.
